Before you start

How to measure your gate

Six things make the plan: the kind of gate, its width and height, the leaves, the weight, how often it opens and the power at the gate.

  1. Width. The clear opening, wall to wall. For a barrier, the width of the lane.
  2. Height. From the floor to the top of the gate or door.
  3. Leaves. One or two for a swing gate; each leaf is half the opening when there are two.
  4. Weight. From the maker's papers, a weighing, or the weight guide by material.

How often it opens

Think of the busiest hour: a home rarely passes 10 openings; a condominium entrance can reach 40 or more. Choose the level in the planner.

The power at the gate

Most homes in Neiva have 127 V. Some PPA equipment runs on 220 V only; the planner rules it out unless you say 220 V is at the gate.

Plan it before the visit

Describe the gate, see the PPA kits whose published limits cover it, add the extras and send the plan to PPA HOME on WhatsApp or by email.
